Since we sourced our stories from freelance grassroots journalists, strengthening this network is an important part of the work I do at the desk. This includes two major things: AMAs and cold-calling reporters.

Every Saturday, we host an AMA where the reporters get to exchange ideas and more with the desk and among fellow journalists in the meet.

We also send out custom notifications every time there is an opportunity relevant to our community.

Recognising their work on social media is also vital in keeping these reporters (and their readers) connected to our platform.
