About
I'm a media professional bubbling with Seema Aunty energy to marry organisations with the right match— their audiences. Driven by purpose and backed by a degree in Mass Media (with a major in Journalism) from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, I love working behind the scenes of powerful stories and making them reach the world.
At Waste Warriors, a non-profit enabling waste management solutions in the Indian Himalayan Region, I have been able to bring out impactful stories from our operations across Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh to the forefront and steer behaviour change through information, education and communication.

Even at 101Reporters, an independent grassroots news magazine, I had the humbling opportunity to commission and process stories editorially from the lowermost tiers of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Simultaneously, I also got to build a community for Rukhmabai Initiatives, a multipronged fellowship program to make STEM more inclusive.
Communication roles with organisations such as FRR Forex (foreign exchange services), Citizens for Justice and Peace (human rights organisation), Bound (publishing and branding), and NewsX (mainstream news channel) are few of the many to have shaped my work ethic and strengthen my understanding of the content space.

Given the lingering despair and anxiety that comes with the nature of our work (revolving around climate change, gender challenges, poor policy implementation etc.), it's important to take it easy sometimes; to energise each other and give hope when the team falls short of it. After all, what is a team, if not a group of humans, working towards a shared vision of making the world better?

My energies are best utilised in a collaborative environment where mutual respect forms the foundation for professional relations. Because nothing is more fulfilling than growing together!
