EnviroMedia: Convergence of Mass Media and Environment

Addressing environmental issues and media’s role in coming to the rescue

Mr. Anil Mehta, an environment activist who has worked in lake protection and conservation for over 25 years now is the Founder Joint Secretary of Jheel Sanrakshan Samiti. His major area of research and working is citizens centric eco-technological management and operation of water resources.   He is recognized as an expert, advisor, researcher and propagator of Integrated Lake Basin Management (ILBM); and Integrated Water resources Management (IWRM). He has also closely worked with journalists and media persons to direct public and politicians’ attention towards environmental issues of prime importance.

I interviewed Mr. Mehta to shed light on pandemic-related issues and importance of mass media in tackling those. He also has a special message for students of mass communication.
